01 |
Early
in the morning we leave Quito to the Northwest part
of the Pichincha province . Bellavista is located on
the edge of the Choco bio-region, among the most diverse
places in the world. The expanding 700 hectare (1,800
acres) reserves is formed by sharp and deeply forested
mountains descending to gorges with rushing waterfalls
and crystalline streams, and the views stretch far away
to distant volcanoes. Only two hours from Quito, Bellavista
is the perfect place for adventure, for relaxation and
for discovery of the cloud forest, its birds and the
diversity of plant life. Lunch. PM.- Hiking in the reserve
to admire its fascinating flora and fauna. Overnight.

| DAY
02 |
Breakfast.- More activities in the reserve. Visitors
may spend their time in any of the following activities:
bird watching, guided walks along nature trails, hiking
to the primary forest, swimming in the river or waterfall,
learning about research projects at the reserve, reading,
resting and relaxing in hammocks. Lunch. PM.- return
to Quito for overnight. (B-L)

03 |
Breakfast.- transfer to the airport for international
flight or extension program. (B)

NOTE:
We also arrange visits
to: Maquipucuna Foundation, Mindo Nambillo Protected
Forest, Bird watching in Santo Domingo de los Colorados
or other protected areas near Quito.
